Printing, Scanning, and Photocopying: Home

This is a guide to the printing, scanning, and photocopying resources available at the Library.

The Library has black and white laser printers as well as a color printer.

  • Printers are located in the Beren Study Center as well as the Copy Center, adjacent to the Stacks elevator
  •  Duplex printing as well as single-sided printing is available.

Wireless printing is available.

The Library has a scanner, located in the Beren Study Center. For help in using it, please see a library staff member.

  • Scan color and black and white documents and photos.
  • Scan books and documents into PDF, searchable PDF, Word, JPEG, TIFF, and PNG file formats simply by touching the screen for the preferred file format.
  • Scanned files can be saved on a USB flash drive or sent to email, or Google Drive, or a Shared Folder (Reststop).

The Library has one photocopier, which does black and white as well as color copies. It is located in the Copy Center, which is adjacent to the elevator.

Paying for Photocopies and Printouts

Black and White photocopies and printouts are 10 cents per page

Color photocopies and printouts are 20 cents per page.

There are two ways to print:
- Wired; or
- Wireless.
Regardless which you choose, you’ll still need to go to one of the print stations to retrieve your paper. There are instructions for signing on to the OCS print system at each location.

In order to print from any of the library computers, you will need an OCS account. If you do not have an account, you can create one at any one of the print stations.

Note to First and Second Year Medical Students:

As part of the Paperless Curriculum initiative, the college provided first and second year medical students with a print allowance. These are accounts opened in the student's name to enable you to use the printers in the library.

The user ID is the barcode on your Einstein picture ID card.
The password is your last name.
